The "China Automotive Research SUPER CRASH" safety limit exploration platform aims to test the safety performance of vehicles. Based on the FASS traffic accident database, it extracts the "front and rear collision condition of heavy-duty trucks" and participates in the challenge of this condition with the new energy vehicle M9. The platform examines the vehicle structure, dummy injury, restraint system, electrical safety, fuel safety, and post accident rescue from six dimensions. This experiment is the first time in China that a new energy passenger car has been used. It simulates the working condition of a city road passenger car following a heavy truck and waiting for traffic lights, encountering a rear end collision from a heavy truck driving from behind and subsequently producing a front and rear collision.
Before the experiment, the truck was a stationary 30 ton heavy-duty dump truck, while the rear truck was an 8-ton 10 meter box truck, driving at a rear end speed of 50km/h. During the drilling process, The M9 A-pillar pushes the front heavy truck apart without any bending or deformation, making it very sturdy. Meanwhile, B C.
